Our Services
NorCal CARB Mobile provides mobile diesel emissions testing — including CARB Clean Truck Check OBD testing, smoke opacity (SAE J1667) testing, and motorhome testing — performed by a CARB-credentialed tester. We travel to your yard or job site across Northern California. We perform the test using calibrated equipment and report the results; we do not perform vehicle repairs as part of the test.
Pricing
Prices listed on this website are current at the time of posting and are subject to change without notice. Fleet and multi-vehicle pricing may differ. The price that applies to your job is the price we confirm with you when you book. Payment is due at the time of service unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Scheduling and Cancellations
Appointments are scheduled by phone, text, or email and are confirmed once we agree on a time and location. Please:
- Have your vehicle(s) accessible and ready at the scheduled time;
- Give us as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel;
- Understand that a wasted trip — for example, if the vehicle is not available, not running, or the site cannot be reached — may incur a trip or rescheduling fee.
We will do our best to arrive within the agreed window, but arrival times may be affected by traffic, weather, or earlier jobs.
Test Results and Compliance
A passing or failing result reflects the measured emissions condition of your vehicle at the time of testing. We report results accurately and follow the required protocols, but:
- We do not control and are not responsible for the outcome of any CARB, BAR, DMV, or other agency action, registration, or enforcement decision;
- A passing test does not guarantee future compliance, and a failing test does not mean we caused the underlying problem;
- It is your responsibility to keep your vehicle in compliant, road-ready condition and to meet all applicable filing deadlines.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, NorCal CARB Mobile is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services or your use of this website — including lost time, lost revenue, fines, penalties, or downtime. Our total liability for any claim related to a test will not exceed the amount you paid us for that test.
Your Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate vehicle and contact information, to ensure the testing location is safe and accessible, and to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not copy, scrape, or misuse content from this website without our permission.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to our services or this website will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use our website or services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
